Vocational Expert Services

Vocational Expert Testimony

Lloyd Vocational & Consulting Services provides expert vocational opinion in the form of consultation,  a comprehensive written report and/or live testimony. All vocational opinions are based on thorough evaluation and adhere to a rigorous standard of competence, objectivity, and professional ethics.   

Vocational Evaluation / Employability Assessment

 A vocational evaluation includes records review, worker interview, testing (if indicated or requested), comprehensive work history, transferable skills analysis, and expert vocational opinion.  Evaluations are provided for

Vocational Testing

Vocational testing allows quick insight into the injured worker and overall enhances the rehabilitation counseling process. Testing provides additional information with regards to current vocational functioning, such as ability to concentrate, stay on task, or use of hands and fingers.
Standardized, formal tests are administered by an IPEC  qualified counselor, with the following tests available: 

  • Achievement 
  • Aptitude 
  • Intelligence 
  • Interest  
  • Fine Motor Coordination

Labor Market Surveys

  • Assist job seekers in locating employment
  • Identify existence of jobs in a specific labor market
  • Answer the question of whether or not jobs that exist are consistent with a workers' abilities

Vocational Rehabilitation Services

Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling & Case Management

  • Promote optimum recovery and rehabilitation

Job Placement

Provide active employment assistance by aggressively locating jobs suitable to the job seeker. We facilitate application, interview, returning to work, with follow-up until the worker is functioning independently. 

Job Analysis

On site analysis 

  • Identifies essential functions of a job, including physical and mental demands, aptitudes, academic requirements, environmental factors, and other unique traits of the job
  • Focuses on returning the impaired worker to his or her job
  • Determines if there is a match between an individual's capabilities and job requirements 
  • Determines compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act

Vocational/Career Consulting

For those about to enter the labor market for the first time, seeking a job/career change, or returning to work after injury or illness, vocational counseling can provide the assistance you need to succeed. Services available include

  • Extensive vocational assessment and vocational interview 
  • Vocational testing to identify strengths, weaknesses, and interests
  • Resume/cover letter development. Interview skills training 
  • Job-seeking skills training

You will receive a written plan that identifies your vocational/educational goals, vocational strengths and weaknesses (including suggested amelioration), and strategies to enhance the likelihood of achieving a satisfying career.
